Donating Money
Often our first inclination is to spend money on things for ourselves, but many people in Wyoming are in great need of donations. Donating money is THE MOST cost effective method of feeding the hungry in the Wyoming area.
For every $1.00 you give to FNOW, we are able to purchase $17.00 of food thru our wholesale, retail, and other distributors. Plus we are able to purchase much needed personal care items such as first aid and medical items not available thru normal governmental aid agencies.
Simple things like toilet paper, tooth brushes, and bandages (parents can attest to this need) which you don't even think about are greatly appreciated.
Steady Ambassadors for Responsive Service - This is FNOW's monthly giving program. This group of STARS is dedicated to giving monthly gifts of anywhere between $10-$100.
All the money from STARS goes directly back into the community, allowing FNOW to both maximize the amount of food it can purchase for needy families and carefully plan for the future. In return for their service, STARS recieve regular updates on the work being done at FNOW, along with a monthly gift envelope.
If you are interested in becoming a STAR, Please contact Glenn Walstra at (616) 885-9919 or (616) 808-9113. Click to e-mail Glen.
(Editors note - This program is a godsend to the staff of FNOW. It is smoothing out some of the financial ups and downs allowing us to purchase much needed personal care items.)
